What can you do?
Do you live on the shore of the Great Lakes?
Check to see if your community is already represented. Contact them by link to help organize, promote or participate. If your community is not represented, be a community Captain! Contact us and we will send you the Captain’s Kit with all the information you will need to make your event a success!
Captain’s Kit Includes:
Getting Started, Organizer Responsibilities, Press Kit, Flyer, A Letter to ask for sponsorship or promote event, A Marketing timeline, and donation instructions and materials.
Contact us for a Captain’s Kit Here: email@example.com
Do you live inland?
Adopt a beach! Check to see if a community that you would like to “adopt” is already represented. If it is, join the day or promote the event! If not, then become a Community Captain and contact us to receive your organizing kit today! Include the people that live in that community by linking up with their local businesses and organizations.
You could also have your very own inland lake or river way handhold in honor of the Great Lakes anywhere you live.
Are you are a school group or organization that is concerned for the Great Lakes?
Adopt a beach that isn’t represented! Don’t forget to include the people that live in that community by linking up with their local businesses and organizations. Or promote us on your organizational social media!
Can’t make the event?
Where ever you are and whatever you’re doing, carry your blue marble around to remind yourself of what we are protecting. On the July 3rd, at 10 A.M. take out your marble and reminisce your favorite memories of the Lakes. If you have a chance to share it with someone else- trade a story for the marble!
Keeping the Great Lakes safe will happen if we keep them foremost in our minds and others.
